— Courtyard Wing —

Specialist dementia care

A secure wing built around two gardens, with a continuous walking loop and no corridors that suddenly stop. Designed to feel safe — for residents, and for the families who visit them.

The Courtyard Wing is our specialist dementia care unit. Everything about it — the layout, the gardens, the routines, the way staff are trained — is built around the way people living with dementia actually experience a space.

Layout. Internal walking loops mean a resident who wants to move can keep moving, without ever hitting a dead-end corridor that feels like a wall. Two garden areas open from the wing, so the outside is always reachable.

For visiting families. The gates are kept secure for everyone's safety. Please don't let anyone out through them without staff knowing.

Safety, without feeling locked in.

Two gardens

Both open directly from the wing, so the outside is always within reach.

No dead-end corridors

A continuous internal loop means a resident who wants to walk can keep walking.

Trained for the hard days

Behavioural settling-in is normal in the first few weeks. Our staff are specifically trained for it.
— A note for new families —

"The first few weeks are usually the hardest — for the resident, and for you. That's expected. Our team has done this many times before, and we'll keep you closely in the loop."
